  • Requires enrollment Medicare Part A and Part B
  • Typically includes prescription drug coverage (Part D)
  • May include vision, hearing, and other services
  • Limits annual out-of-pocket costs

(Also Known as Medicare Part D)

  • Prescription drug option run by a private Medicare-approved insurance company
  • Helps to cover the cost of prescription drugs
  • Requires enrollment in Medicare Part A and Part B

Medicare Supplement Insurance (Also Known as Medigap)

  • Supplement insurance option run by a private Medicare-approved insurance company
  • Helps pay for costs not covered by original Medicare, i.e., deductibles, copays, and co-insurance
  • No network requirement and the freedom to choose any healthcare provider across the country that accepts Medicare
  • Requires enrollment in Medicare Part A and Part B
